Tarble Family California Scholarship Application

Apply now for the Tarble Family California Scholarships. (This scholarship program is open to California residents attending a high school or college in California, and entering Carthage as a freshman or transfer in fall 2010.)

Note that you must submit your application for admission and supporting materials to Carthage by March 1, 2010, to be eligible for the Tarble Family California Scholarship Program, and you can apply for admission online.

The Tarble Family California Scholarships

Carthage has announced establishment of the Tarble Family California Scholarship Program for California young people who exhibit a spirit of adventure. The Tarble scholarships will honor the contributions and leadership of the Tarble family throughout California, and will offer horizon-expanding opportunities for travel and learning.

Carthage will award up to 10 Tarble Family California Scholarships ranging in value to admitted students from California. These scholarships are available to incoming freshmen or transfer students. Tarble Family California Scholarship recipients will receive up to a maximum of $17,000 per year in Carthage assistance and are renewable based on recipients maintaining a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0.

Tarble Family California Scholarship applicants will receive notification regarding their scholarship eligibility in March from the Carthage Vice President for Enrollment.

Tarble Family California Scholarships complement most other merit-based scholarships. Total Carthage scholarship awards do not exceed full tuition.

In order to be considered for a Tarble Family California Scholarship, a student must complete the following steps:

  • Be admitted to Carthage as a new full-time, fall 2010 freshman or transfer student. (You must submit your application for admission and supporting materials to Carthage by March 1, 2010 to be eligible for the Tarble Scholarship Program.)
  • Submit a Tarble Family California Scholarship Application and essay by March 1, 2010.

The Tarble Family California Scholarships may incorporate all Carthage assistance.
