Through evening studies, students can earn their Master in Education, add additional teaching licenses to their existing professional license, or complete course work for personal enrichment.

What is the Master of Education program at Carthage?
Carthage offers a 36-credit graduate program in education with 11 specialized concentrations along with education licensing in reading (Reading 316 and 317 licenses) and education administration (81 Principal License).
When are classes offered?
- Classes typically meet one evening per week in the fall and spring and twice a week during the summer session.
- Evening classes meet from 5-8 pm, one night per week.

How much does it cost?
- Tuition is $360 per credit hour in the graduate program.
- Financial aid is available through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- Students may file their financial aid at
www.fafsa.ed.gov.
- Students must be enrolled in at least six credit hours (half-time) in order to use FAFSA funding.
Does Carthage accept transfer credit?
Yes
- Carthage will accept up to eight credits of graduate course work taken from other accredited colleges and universities provided it was completed within the last five years and can be applied to the student's concentration.
- Students who have taken graduate credit at Carthage, may be allowed to apply up to 12 graduate credits to their program of study.
What are the admission requirements?
- Students must submit an application into the graduate program along with a $25 application fee.
- Students must submit all official college transcripts along with a copy of their current teaching license
- Three letters of recommendation are required.
- Students must complete the Miller Analogy Test. This test can be taken at Carthage in the Career Services Center. Call the Career Center at 262-551-5959 for more information on the test, or to arrange an appointment to take the test.
Once the graduate office has received your application, college transcripts, a copy of the teaching license, three letters of recommendation and your Miller Analogy Test score, you will be contacted regarding your acceptance into the program.
