2009:  Finished fourth in the 200 breaststroke (2:11.35) and seventh in the 400 individual medley (4:18.94) at the CCIW Swimming Championship and part of a conference-championship 800 freestyle relay team…finished third in the 200 butterfly, the 400 individual medley and the 500 freestyle at the Wisconsin Private College Championship.

High School:  Earned second-team Eastern Valley Conference honors his senior year…honorable mention all-conference as a junior…coached by Dale Burghardt…swam with the Oshkosh YMCA team…National Honor Society member, winner of an “outstanding scholar-athlete” award, four-year high honors student and graduated with honors…coached by Jay Coleman for Oshkosh YMCA club team.

Personal:  Double major in biology and chemistry…named twice to the Carthage dean’s list and named to the fall 2008 Carthage athletic director's honor roll…younger brother of teammate Alex Van Huis and son of John and Suzanne Van Huis…born June 22, 1990.
