2009:  Finished second in both the 400 individual medley (4:09.27) and the 1,650 freestyle (16:10.30) at the CCIW Swimming Championship, while taking third place in the 500 freestyle (4:42.27)…won both the 100 breaststroke and the 1,650 freestyle at the Wisconsin Private College Championship.

2008:  Finished fourth in the 400 individual medley (4:13.14), fourth in the 1,650 freestyle (16:35.70) and sixth in the 200 butterfly (1:59.96) at the CCIW Swimming Championship…won the 1,650 freestyle at the Wisconsin Private College Championship.

2007:  Finished fourth in the 1,650 freestyle (16:44.97), fifth in the 400 individual medley (4:19.34) and eighth in the 500 freestyle (4:52.71) at the CCIW Swimming Championship…won the 200 freestyle at the Wisconsin Private College Championship…collected his first collegiate victory in the 100 breaststroke against Lake Forest on Nov. 10.

High School:  Did not swim on the high school team…competed instead for the YMCA team in Oshkosh, Wis., and coached by Jay Coleman…five-time YMCA summer nationals qualifier and finished 32nd in the 200 butterfly at the 2006 YMCA Nationals…National Honor Society member, East Central Lakes Conference all-academic and four-year honor student.

Personal:  Biology major…named to the Carthage dean’s list five times and a three-semester member of the Carthage athletic director’s honor roll…older brother of teammate Adam Van Huis and son of John and Suzanne Van Huis…born March 15, 1988.
