Herschel Kruger, associate professor of theatre at Carthage and chair of the Theatre Department, will present a special Hannibal Lecture on Friday, Nov. 6, to discuss the work that went into the Carthage production of Aristophane's "Lysistrata."
Professor Kruger is the director of the show, which opens Friday in Wartburg Auditorium. His lecture — "Directing 'Lysistrata'" — will take place at 4:55 p.m. Friday in the Johnson Art Center's Recital Room (JAC 340).
He will discuss some of the background issues he and his talented team faced in putting on such a challenging play. The lecture and discussion will conclude around 6:20 p.m., leaving people enough time to eat before seeing the 7:30 p.m. show.
