Welcome to the Carthage Social Work website. Here you will find information about the social work profession, how you enter the social work program at Carthage, the coursework which will lead to your bachelor's degree and the student social work organizations.

As you think about becoming a professional social worker and selecting the college you will attend, keep this thought in mind. You want to attend a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, an international agency which assures that your studies meet the standards established for a bachelor's degree in social work. Graduate schools and employers favor those with degrees from accredited social work programs. The Carthage social work program has this coveted accreditation.

Carthage offers the social work degree in the context of a liberal arts education which emphasizes critical thinking and communication skills to prepare you for a future which will not look like today.
