Policies and Procedures
Carthage College employees have the option to report concerns through an online portal. This service can be used to report concerns that you might be uncomfortable raising in any other way. Concerns could include possible fraudulent, unethical, or unlawful conduct, and can be submitted anonymously.
Carthage College is committed to creating a safe, healthy, and non-discriminatory environment for all students, staff, faculty, and visitors that is free from all forms of sexual misconduct. As part of this commitment, Carthage does not tolerate any form of sexual misconduct, which includes sexual assault, sexual harassment, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking.
Carthage College does not discriminate against qualified individuals who are differently-abled or who have disabilities in regard to application procedures, hiring, advancement, separation, compensation, training, or other terms, conditions, and privileges of employment. The College conducts its affairs in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”). The College will reasonably accommodate qualified individuals with a disability so that they can perform the essential functions of a job. An employee who requires an accommodation should notify Human Resources of the need for the accommodation and fill out the accommodation request form. All requests will be evaluated on an individual basis. Employees are expected to engage in an interactive discussion about possible reasonable accommodations. Medical documentation is required to support the need for accommodation.
Carthage College employees can earn a placement bonus for the successful referral for an open position. If you know someone who would be a great addition to the Carthage community, and they meet the qualifications for an existing position, it may be worth $400.
Carthage College employees have direct access to make updates to personal information within the Workday system. These self-service functions include changes to direct deposit accounts, federal and state withholding, beneficiaries and dependents, add emergency contacts, and update addresses. Members of the staff are also able to request and track vacation and sick time through the Workday system.
