Strong demand for accountants

Carthage accounting graduates have taken positions with each of the Big Four accounting firms (Deloitte, KPMG, Ernst & Young, and Pricewaterhouse Coopers), as well as other employers such as Grant Thornton, Allianz Global Corporate, Jockey International, Snap On Inc., Plante Moran, U.S. Bank, Abbott Laboratories, and Johnson Controls.

They have obtained employment in auditing, financial analysis, tax accounting, corporate accounting, portfolio management, banking, and investment analysis. Others have set up their own accounting practices or pursued advanced degrees in law and finance.

From now until 2026, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that “globalization, a growing economy, and a complex tax and regulatory environment are expected to continue to lead to strong demand for accountants and auditors.”
