Poised in an exceptional period, the Carthage Philharmonic prides itself on its identity rooted in growth, excellence, and true camaraderie.

The Philharmonic is a vital contributor to many campus events, including Family Weekends, Christmas Festival, and many official collegiate functions. Concerts are given each term, some of which are coupled with travel opportunities.

Under the direction of Professor E. Edward Kawakami, the Philharmonic Orchestra performs repertoire from the entire canon of orchestral works, and have included music by composers such as:

Rehearsals are held from 5:20 to 6:35 p.m. The orchestra meets Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, though Wednesdays are generally reserved for strings-only rehearsals.
