Students should be aware that the water in Lake Michigan is very cold, and strong currents or dangerous undertows are present. No supervision is supplied by the College or the City of Kenosha, which owns the beach area contiguous to the campus. Therefore, individuals swim at their own risk.

In winter, the lake shoreline freezes forming ice floes and ice piles which are very dangerous! We ask that students not climb or walk on them! What may appear to be solid ice is often hollow or “rotten” and will easily collapse.
