Carthage is committed to providing a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment for all of our students and the entire Carthage community.
Carthage students often say that Carthage offers the best of both worlds. The downtown areas of Kenosha and Racine are just minutes away, and Chicago and Milwaukee are just an hour’s drive. But campus itself is a tranquil, safe, 80-acre arboretum nestled on parkland along the shore of Lake Michigan.
The Carthage College Office of Public Safety is committed to keeping our campus safe, peaceful, and well-organized. The Office of Public Safety operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Officers provide event management support, event security, parking and traffic control, and building security. In addition, officers are trained in first aid, CPR, and the use of Automatic External Defibrillators.
The Office of Public Safety responds to:
- Medical emergencies
- Vehicle accidents
- Reports of theft
- Lost and found property
- All other service requests concerning the safety and security of our campus community
The Office of Public Safety strives to promote a safe environment in which our community members can live and learn during their time at Carthage.
