Carthage will kick off the 2023-24 school year with several days of special events for all students. Be sure to join the fun! All events are free for students.

Get to know other incoming freshmen and orientation leaders through this interactive show! Completely led by a team of professionals, the Playfair is the best way to interact with new students.

Join us for food, fun, and entertainment in the Campbell Student Union! Watch juggler Nick Thomas perform live while sampling snacks from the vendors in the CSU food court and visiting the bookstore for textbooks and new Carthage gear.

Join Carthage Activities Board and take a rollicking romp through Elizabethan England, complete with 16th century games, rides, arts, crafts, food, music, and one-of-a-kind encounters with a spectacular cast of characters. Sign-up costs only $10 and includes your ticket and transportation. The bus for the trip leaves at 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 3.

President John Swallow, Cameron Swallow, and Watson invite all students for food, drinks, and conversation. Enjoy up to three beverages and snacks for purchase. Attendees aged 21 and older can purchase up to three alcoholic beverages (cash, credit, and debit accepted). Carthage ID and government-issued ID are both required for alcohol purchases. Drink tickets are $4 for alcoholic drinks and $3 for nonalcoholic drinks. No beverage carry-ins or carry-outs will be allowed.
