Four outstanding members of the Class of 2023 joined President John Swallow (center) as speakers at the first senior class coin ceremony Sept. 14, 2022, in A.F. Siebert Chapel. Siebert Chapel received a commemorative “Class of 2023” coin that they are invited to give to a faculty or staff member who has made a positive impact on them.

Four stellar members of the Class of 2023 — Cynthia Medina, Edelmar Morales-Rivera, Sophie Shulman, and Kyle Williamson — addressed their classmates at the event.

“I’m overwhelmed by the number of people I’ve met here who contributed to my level of achievement,” Sophie said. “They’re all incredible, and they’re honestly the best part about this college. I wish I had more coins to give.”

Seniors who didn’t attend the ceremony can still pick up their coins in the Office of the President. Stop by the office on the fourth floor of Lentz Hall between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Once you present your coin, we invite you to share the story of what makes your mentor so special!
