Lauren Jelenovich Join us for our second Performing Arts Series event of the year featuring Lauren Jelencovich at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, in the A. F. Siebert Chapel.

Lauren Jelencovich is a world-renowned American soprano with spectacular portrayals of opera and musical theater. She has traveled the globe and was recently on a World Tour with Yanni, a Greek-American composer, as his featured vocalist. Her tour included trips to India, Egypt, South America, China, Thailand, Russia, Dubai, and more! During their tour in Saudi Arabia, Ms. Jelencovich was the first woman in recent history to sing on a stage for a mixed audience. She says that bringing families together to hear her perform for this event was one of the most memorable experiences she has ever had on stage.

For her opera theater performances, Ms. Jelencovich has performed as Mrs. Nordstrom in “A Little Night Music,” Violet Beauregarde in “The Golden Ticket,” and the Queen of the Night in “Die Zauberflote” at the Intermezzo Festival in Belgium.

Ms. Jelencovich graduated from the Manhattan School of Music and studied under William Esper in the William Esper Acting Studio. She was a grand prize winner on Ed McMahon’s Star Search and earned the Andrea Bocelli’s National Italian American Foundation World Scholarship. She earned critical accolades for her portrayal of Lauretta in “Gianni Schicchi” and Suor Genovieffa in “Suor Angelica”. Ms. Jelencovich has studied under Patricia McCaffrey while also simultaneously maintaining an active vocal studio, traveling the globe, and working on her third album.
