Scholarships

UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP

Deadline: Monday, Oct. 24
WSGC awards $2,000 scholarships to outstanding undergraduate students who are pursuing aerospace, space science, or other interdisciplinary space-related studies. Learn more and apply

WOMEN IN AVIATION SCHOLARSHIP

Deadline: Monday, Oct. 24
WSGC awards $2,000 scholarships to support two outstanding female undergraduate students interested in aviation-related careers. Learn more and apply

STEM BRIDGE SCHOLARSHIP

Deadline: Monday, Oct. 24
WSGC awards $2,000 scholarships to outstanding sophomore and junior undergraduate students identified as a member of a federally recognized minority group (African American, Native American, Hispanic/Latino, or Pacific Islander) enrolled in a STEM program of study, demonstrating an interest in aerospace or supporting NASA’s mission. AEROSPACE OUTREACH PROGRAM

The Aerospace Outreach Program provides planning grants and supplemental grants for new or ongoing projects that have space-related content. Learn more and apply

SPECIAL INITIATIVES PROGRAM

Deadline: Monday, Oct. 24
The Special Initiatives Program provides planning grants and supplemental grants for new or ongoing projects that have space-related content and are intended to encourage, attract, or retain underrepresented groups in science, technology, engineering, and mathematical fields, especially women, minorities, and persons with disabilities. NASA COMPETITION FALL PROGRAM

Deadline: Monday, Nov. 14
The NASA Competition Program supports teams programs that are competitive in nature, involve a NASA center, and require a NASA-managed selection process. Competitions include, but are not limited to: Big Idea, HASP, Micro-G/NExT, RASC-AL, Robotic Mining, RockSat, Rover, Space Apps, Student Launch, S.U.I.T.S., and X-Hab. Additional non-NASA programs supported through this funding opportunity are Spaceport America Cup (Intercollegiate Rocket Engineering Competition), University Rover Challenge, etc. Each competition has its own application process. This announcement pertains only to the process by which teams can request WSGC funding to support participation in a NASA-sponsored competition. Learn more and apply

COMPETITIONS

NASA’s GREAT MIDWEST HIGH-POWERED ROCKET COMPETITION

Deadline: Friday, Oct. 28
WSGC invites students with previous rocket experience to design and construct rockets to be launched at Midwest High-Power Rocket Competition in North Branch, Minn. The Minnesota Space Grant Consortium invites teams from around the nation to compete against each other in an annual event. Learn more and apply
