Prof. Kevin Morris receives National Science Foundation grant

Prof. Kevin MorrisKevin Morris, Klingenmeyer distinguished professor of chemistry, received a National Science Foundation Research in Undergraduate Institutions grant in September 2022.

Prof. Morris’ grant-funded project uses magnetic resonance spectroscopy and molecular modeling to study amino acid-based surfactants. These molecules are biodegradable, biocompatible, and have applications in detergents, cosmetics, and separation science.

The project is a collaboration with researchers at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi.
