Join the Music Theatre Techniques class for their end-of-semester showcase, “Music Theatre Techniques Showcase 1.0,” from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, in the Campbell Student Union Auditorium.

Music Theatre Techniques is a performance-based course centered around the exploration of the components of storytelling through song. Performers enrolled in this course are coached in dramatic circumstances and given feedback by both professors and peers in order to improve their skills. “Music Theatre Techniques Showcase 1.0” is their chance to present the work from the course to an audience.

Students from the class will be accompanied by Yu-Mei Chang M.M. ’23 and co-directed by Professor Matthew Hougland and Melanie Wright M.M. ’23. This showcase will feature 19 students, ranging in experience from first-years to graduate students, all majoring or minoring in music theatre. Each of these students will perform selections of songs they have been working on in class.
