Opening reception for studio art senior thesis exhibitions Saturday
Join us for the opening reception of the senior thesis exhibitions by Sydney Hnatusko ’23, Mason Tucker ’23, and Arianna Cunningham ’23 from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 29, in the H. F. Johnson Gallery of Art.
Food and beverages will be served.
To celebrate the completion of their senior thesis projects, graduating Carthage studio art majors present a group exhibition of their work in a variety of media. In this first round of spring exhibitions, Sydney Hnatusko presents water color painting on paper and ceramics in her thesis, “Flow State.” Mason Tucker’s thesis show, “Compassion Drought,” features mixed media artworks made from found, reclaimed, and recycled electronics. In “Roots,” Arianna Cunningham combines plaster casting and mixed media in her life-size figurative sculptures.
“Senior Exhibitions” is on display Saturday, April 29 through Friday, May 5, in the H. F. Johnson Gallery of Art. The gallery is open from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Extended hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursdays and from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturdays. All art exhibits are free and open to the public.
