H. F. Johnson gallery of art presents: ‘ages and ages’

Noon-5 p.m., H. F. Johnson Gallery of Art
No charge — Open to public
“Ages and Ages” is an exhibition of sculptural ceramics, excavating the extant medium of clay from its uncanny geological valley. Considering elemental and historical origins of clay, the works featured in this exhibit address the position of contemporary ceramics between their primordial inception into the ahistorical Anthropocene.

juried student art exhibition: ‘Amusement’

All Day, Ehrler Hospitality Center, A. F. Siebert Chapel
No charge — Open to public
“AMUSEMENT” is a juried student photography exhibition that explores a range of relationships to the term itself. Amusement by definition is the state or experience of finding something funny. Something that causes laughter or provides entertainment.
There were several photo prompts for this show: Spring already brings wonder and joy, now consider how you can capture that feeling in a photograph. What inspires you to pick up the camera? What are simple things that make you happy? What guides you in your creation?
