Carthage has more than 130 student clubs and organizations through which students can get involved, explore possible careers, meet other students, work closely with faculty advisors, and perform customer service. United Women of Color

United Women of Color provides leadership opportunities, hosts activities to enrich its members socially and academically, strengthens the image of minority women in the Carthage community, and works to build respect and tolerance between all students.

Carthage Women Against Violence

The organization’s main purpose is to create a safe place for the women of Carthage to discuss and address their concerns with issues regarding violence’s against women. This entails educating women on how to properly use self-defense weapons, on how to handle the topic of sexual harassment/assault, and the services available for help if needed. Finally, the organization creates a line of contact for women who feel unsafe whether that is waiting for a shuttle alone or walking back from class at night.

Prism

Prism is an open group for LGBTQIA+ students and allies to get together in a safe space to get to know new people, build friendships, and form the families that our community thrives off of.

LGBTQ*SA

LGBTQ*SA is a club for LGBT individuals in the Carthage community and allies who would like to show their support. The purpose of the organization is to provide a safe environment for LGBT students to meet and socialize, and to spread awareness about LGBT topics/issues.
