Professor Mimi Yang A hundred years ago, on August 18, 1920, the 19th Amendment to the U.S Constitution was ratified and granted women the right to vote. On the occasion of Women’s Suffrage Centennial, Professor Mimi Yang’s article “An Intimate Dialogue between Race and Gender at Women’s Suffrage Centennial” is published in the journal Humanities and Social Sciences Communication in London, England.

An interdisciplinary and peer-reviewed journal, Humanities and Social Sciences Communication focuses on cutting-edge research on the most pressing and impactful themes and subjects of our time by academics and cultural thinkers from the world.

Over more than two decades, Prof. Yang’s publications and research have brought Carthage’s name to England, Argentina, Brazil, Perú, Costa Rica, México, in addition to the academic world in the U.S. As she continues her writings and scholarly pursuits, she is now honoring Carthage’s name in the nation’s most prestigious institutions — the Massachusetts Historical Society, the Radcliffe Institute/Harvard University, the Smith College, and the Mary Baker Eddy Library.

Prof. Yang will retire from the College on Saturday, Aug. 15, and she will continue to honor Carthage through her publications and scholarly presence on these platforms.
