As part of the planning for Homecoming and Family Weekend events, we wanted to alert you to a number of temporary closures of parking lots, Campus Drive, and modifications to the campus parking lot shuttles. Please make a note of the following modifications and changes:

Parking lot modifications

Wednesday, Oct. 13-Monday, Oct. 18

  • The South Upper Lot will be closed starting at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13 through midmorning Monday, Oct. 18.

Saturday, Oct. 16

  • A section of the North Lots will be closed from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in order to assemble the parade participants.

Traffic pattern changes

Saturday, Oct. 16

  • Campus Drive will be closed to through traffic from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • The north entrance will remain open to access the North Parking Lots, which will be available for event parking.
  • Kenosha Transit will not enter campus. They will only stop at the traffic light on Alford Park Drive at the north entrance.

Sunday, Oct. 17

  • Campus Drive will be closed from the Lincoln statue to the South Upper Lot entrance from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for the “Meet the President” event.
  • The South Upper Parking Lot will not be accessible.

Campus parking lot shuttle modifications

An additional shuttle stop in the North Parking Lots will be added to the normal route patterns and a few pick-up locations will be modified.

Thursday, Oct. 14: 6-9 p.m.

  • The Green Line will pick up/drop off at the H. F. Johnson Center for the Fine Arts as usual but will add a stop in the North Lots.

Friday, Oct. 15: 3:30 p.m.-midnight

  • The Green Line will pick up/drop off in the North Lots, Tennis Center Lot, and 35th Street Lot. The Green Line will not stop at the H. F. Johnson Center for the Fine Arts.

Saturday, Oct. 16: 7 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

  • The Blue Line will pick up/drop off in the Madrigrano/Oaks Residence Halls location as usual but will add a stop at the North Lots.

Sunday, Oct. 17: 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

  • The Blue Line will pick up/drop off in the Madrigrano/Oaks Residence Halls location as usual but will add a stop at the North Lots.

Special event shuttle

From 6 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, there will be a special event shuttle departing from the flagpole in front of the Todd Wehr Center for the 75 Years of Black Excellence: Evening of Elegance event at the Kenosha Public Museum.
