All Stories

Students in Professor Bradley Zopf’s J-Term course — Examining the Experiences of Women and People of Color in STEM — gathered, analyzed, and summarized research, statistics, and data on the experiences of people of color in STEM fields in order to create a new article for Wikipedia.

Read their Wikipedia page: “Racial minorities in STEM fields”

This new article provides updated information on the experiences of students of color in the STEM pipeline, explanations for underrepresentation, and potential strategies for increasing participation in STEM for underrepresented groups. Students worked in groups and individually to write and revise this page over the last week of J-Term and should be very proud of their accomplishment.
