These students represent 12 majors from across the college, including accounting, Asian studies, biology, Chinese, computer science, economics, engineering, finance, history, international political economy, Japanese, political science, and sociology.

Please congratulate all of these students for their excellent efforts should you see them. They were a great team!

Model UN helps students to sharpen their “hard” and “soft” skills through research, writing, public speaking (in front of large groups), and diplomacy (by working in smaller groups). In addition to helping students build and refine these skills, they also see an increase in confidence in presenting their views in a potentially stressful environment.

As a tune-up for our AMUN conference, members helped to teach these skills to high school students on Nov. 4, when we hosted our 23rd Annual High School Model UN Conference. We welcomed 314 students from 18 high schools.

Model UN is open to students of all majors. Please explore our website or contact Prof. Roberg (jroberg@carthage.edu) for more information about joining our Model UN organization.
