Dragon lights Dragon lights On Sept. 24, the Carthage Martial Arts Club and Chinese Club organized a successful field trip to China Lights at Boerner Botanical Gardens.

This cultural outing brought together 27 participants, including students, faculty, and community members.

The event was perfectly timed before the Chinese mid-autumn festival, allowing everyone to experience authentic Chinese cultural traditions. Participants were treated to the mesmerizing beauty of Chinese lanterns, which illuminated the gardens with intricate designs and colors as night fell. Bird lights Bird lights

The evening’s entertainment was a highlight, featuring captivating Chinese dance performances, a lively lion dance, impressive acrobatics, and the mysterious art of Chinese face-changing. These displays offered a window into the rich tapestry of Chinese culture.

The field trip provided an excellent opportunity for students and community Lion dance Lion dance members to expand their horizons and gain a deeper appreciation of Chinese customs.
