Over $70K raised for #FirebirdsGiveBack!
We are thrilled to report that we surpassed our #FirebirdsGiveBack goal to raise $40,000 for Carthage students!
Not only did we exceed our goal, but we also broke our record from last year, raising $71,983! Over 310 donors came together to contribute to this achievement, showcasing the incredible generosity within the Carthage community.
Three of our campaigns received funding beyond their goals. The overwhelming support for student scholarships and the enhancement of the student experience has been particularly heartening. Notable funds were given to the Engineering Students Computer Fund, the Teletherapy Mental Health Fund, Luther’s Lunchbox, and the new S.M.A.R.T.E.R Mentoring Program — designed to boost diversity, equity, and inclusion retention among first-year students.
We also increased support to make improvements to the Wartburg Theatre lighting system, provide funding for students to engage in meaningful research through Summer Undergraduate Research Experience, and bolster Carthage Athletics!
