Throughout the 2024-25 school year, all Kenosha County and Racine County residents can attend Carthage College sporting events for free.

Carthage is implementing the new policy to introduce more community members to its championship-caliber NCAA Division III athletic program. The Firebirds compete in 28 varsity sports (14 women’s, 13 men’s, and coed Esports).

“As a college with a proud tradition of athletic excellence and great, fan-friendly venues, we believe it’s important to make our games accessible to everyone in our community,” said Ryan Kane, director of athletics. “Offering free admission to our events can bring people together and create an even more vibrant and inclusive game day atmosphere.”

The free admission offer is good for any regular season Firebirds home game, match, or meet that’s held on the Carthage campus, 2001 Alford Park Drive. Select swim and track meets, NCAA and CCIW championship tournaments, and other postseason events are not included. Residents of Kenosha and Racine counties just need to show their identification at the entrance; acceptable forms include a driver’s license or student ID card.

The Firebirds regularly compete for titles in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin and beyond. Carthage student-athletes have won 24 individual NCAA titles, and the men’s volleyball team won back-to-back national championships in 2021 and 2022.

Free visitor parking is available in multiple campus lots. Concessions are sold during events at several of Carthage’s athletic venues, and all campus dining locations are open to the public during regular hours.
