Sarah Loster ’25 is a recipient of a theatre scholarship, as well as a few other scholarships from Carthage. She is a major in theatre performance with minors in costume design and secondary education. After graduation, she plans to teach theatre in a high school.

Favorite class

“My favorite class so far has been Acting II. In this class, I was able to further develop my acting skills and gain a foundation for reading and analyzing plays.”

Toughest class

“My most difficult class so far has been Elementary French. I have never taken french before, and learning a new language can be very scary at first.”

Golden opportunities

“I am currently in the New Play Initiative “Memento Mori,” which will be performed here and in Ireland during the upcoming J-Term study tour. I am very excited about this opportunity!”

Favorite spot on campus

“My favorite spot on campus is the costume shop. It’s somewhere I feel happy and welcome, and I can always find a friend or professor there.”

Favorite memory

“Some of my favorite memories include working on theatre productions and hanging out with my friends.”

Advice for other students in your major?

“I think that other students should major in theatre performance because it’s very interesting, and the professors who you learn from are amazing!”

What would your 8-year-old self think of you now?

“I think my 8-year-old self would be proud of me for following my dreams and doing what I love.”
