What have you enjoyed most about your career?

“I love the diverse experiences and fast-paced environment.”

How did Carthage prepare you?

“Carthage prepared me by letting me pursue an accounting degree — I never thought I’d end up working in a public accounting firm.”

Why did you choose Carthage?

“I really wanted a personalized college experience — one in which the professors knew my name and where I could get a more hands-on learning experience.”

What Carthage professors played a part in your success and how?

“Professors David Schlichting, Julie Dawson, Cathy Duffy, Michael Phegley, and Cassie Lau played a big part in my success. Prof. Schlichting was also the one who convinced me to pursue an accounting degree.”

What role have the values in Carthage's mission, "Seeking Truth, Building Strength, Inspiring Service — Together" played in your life?

“These values are a cornerstone in my life. I continue to pursue opportunities to develop and build strength in my skillsets (personally and professionally). I also still volunteer for an organization that I volunteered with while I was at Carthage and in law school — the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program sponsored by the Internal Revenue Service.”

Tips for current Carthage students?
