Faculty mentors

“Carthage faculty are more than amazing and are one of the best parts of the Carthage community! While at Carthage, I have built the best relationships with faculty; they are caring and easygoing! They constantly help me find my place here at Carthage and encourage me to do my best.”

Favorite class

“There are so many interesting classes to pick from at Carthage! Still, if I had to choose, it would have to be Professor Rick Mathews’s Juvenile Delinquency Class or Doctor Michele Hancock’s class on Ethics and Leadership in a Multicultural Society!”

Favorite spot on campus

“My favorite spot on campus is anywhere with a good view of the lake!”

Favorite memory

“Some of my favorite Carthage memories are the times I spent with friends and family during Homecoming weekend!”

What would your 8-year-old self think of you now?

“The woman I am today would impress and shock the 8-year-old little girl who thought she wanted to be a ‘business woman’ or a lawyer. To say the least, I am not working towards either of those professions, but I am studying social work. Amazingly, the woman I am today would also shock and impress the young 18-year-old entering college because since being at Carthage, I have grown and found different interests that fit me.”
