The Future of Africa raises $25,000 for Nkume Primary School

Every year, The Future of Africa (FOA) raises money in an effort to improve the educational environment of the Nkume Primary School in South Africa. Despite the challenges of COVID-19, the Carthage club raised over $25,000 for the school last year.

The Future of Africa members spent long hours selling hot cider and cookies, and even played basketball against a famous YouTuber to reach the donation amount.

The money raised funded an entire kitchen renovation, which was finished in February. A vegetable garden is also in future plans. These additions alone can and will empower students for years to come.
