Minimum Qualifications and Program Acceptance Standards
Faculty and Full Time Staff
Acceptable | Unacceptable | |
Moving Violations | 1 or fewer violations in the prior twelve months | 2 or more violations in the prior two years |
At-Fault Accidents | 1 or fewer accidents in the prior two years | 2 or more accidents in the prior three years |
Major Offenses | A single citation in the prior three years for any of the following offenses: • Any alcohol or drug-related offenses • A refusal to submit to a blood-alcohol test • Operating a vehicle more than 30 miles over the posted speed limit • Leaving the scene of an accident • Any felony crime committed with a vehicle |
Minimum Drivers Qualifications: Faculty and Staff
1. The applicant must possess a valid U.S. or Canadian driver’s license with a classification appropriate for the type of vehicle being driven, or a valid international driver’s license.
2. Be at least 18 years of age and have one year of accident and moving violation-free driving experience prior to driving on College business.
3. Have an acceptable driving record as defined in the chart above.
4. Certify that they have read and signed off on the Carthage College Motor Vehicle Usage Policy Agreement.
Exceptions to these minimum qualifications may be submitted to the office manager for campus operations and will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
