Pre-Health Club

Pre-Health Club is an organization for students interested in entering a healthcare-related field. Pre-Health Club brings in speakers from medical, graduate, veterinary, occupational therapy, physical therapy, physicians assistant, pharmacy, dental, and chiropractic schools that include admissions representatives and previous Carthage students. These talks are geared toward helping students learn about different schools and better understand the admissions process and requirements. Pre-Health Club also brings upper and underclassmen together in order to give underclassmen an opportunity to ask about what courses to take and how to prepare for tests like the MCAT and GRE, and application questions. The club also gives members information about internship and shadowing opportunities.

Alpha Epsilon Delta

Alpha Epsilon Delta is a national health pre-professional honors society dedicated to the encouragement and recognition of excellence in preprofessional health scholarship. This chapter particularly focuses on forming mentorship relationships between upperclassmen and underclassmen in pre-professional health specialties at Carthage College. This chapter is distinguished from other health organizations by focusing on upperclassmen leadership, professional development and opportunities pertinent to professional school studies, and building mentee relationships with underclassmen.

Athletic Training Club

Athletic Training Club is open for anyone to join. The mission of this organization is to advocate for the athletic training profession and promote the professional development of its members. This club will provide opportunities for resumé building, networking, and collaboration with other health care professionals.
