What it costs
Families are not alone in paying for a Carthage education. Carthage views financing as a partnership involving parents, students, and assistance from a variety of supporting resources, including Carthage, the federal government, and some state governments. Carthage works with families on an individual basis to identify the proper mix of available resources. Examining these options is the first step toward developing a financing plan to make Carthage affordable.

Carthage is a private institution, so tuition is the same for in-state and out-of-state students.

* This residence fee is for a standard double room and the standard meal plan for freshmen. Other room styles, including single rooms, may carry additional fees. The standard meal plan provides an average of 14 meals per week, plus Birdie Bucks that can be used at any dining location and guest passes for family and friends. A premium meal plan is available for an additional fee.

Generous Scholarships
Carthage awards more than $20 million in scholarship and grant assistance, including automatic merit scholarships up to $18,000 a year, and multiple full-tuition Presidential Scholarships.
