Three museums located in Kenosha — the Kenosha Civil War Museum, the Dinosaur Discovery Museum, and the Kenosha Public Museum — offer discounted admission rates for Carthage students. Operated by the Friends of the Kenosha Public Museums, they each have a little something for everyone.
For all the history buffs, the Civil War Museum focuses on the Civil War from the perspective of the people of the seven states of the upper-midwest: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
Bring out your inner child by stopping by the Dinosaur Discovery Museum. This museum is the only museum to focus on the link between meat-eating dinosaurs and birds, and it works in association with the Carthage College Institute of Paleontology (CIP) and its on-site laboratory. The Dinosaur Discovery Museum presents current, ongoing research in the study of dinosaurs.
The Kenosha Public Museum is a natural sciences and fine and decorative arts museum. Exhibit programming includes mammoths, world cultures, Native Americans, zoology, geology, fossils, and fine and decorative arts.
