Carthage’s 2023 Nursing Scholarship is open for applications
Students looking to enroll at Carthage in fall 2024 can now apply for the Nursing Scholarship.
Carthage awards one full-tuition scholarship to an incoming student in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program who exhibits a desire for excellence in the field and compassionate, quality patient care. The scholarship is renewable for four years.
To be considered, students must submit an application for admission to Carthage and a separate Nursing Scholarship application by Nov. 1. Within the online scholarship application they must write a 250-word essay on: Why do you want to be a nurse?
Students will be notified in early November if selected to attend the Nursing Scholarship competition on Saturday, Nov. 11. During the on-campus competition, students will have a conversation with a member of the Carthage nursing faculty and complete a short essay.
The BSN program at Carthage provides socially responsible and responsive nurse education that’s rooted in compassion. Students graduate as competent entry-level clinicians, scholars, and leaders in nursing and are prepared to take the National Council Licensing Examination for Registered Nurses. Carthage works with more than 50 partners to offer students three years of clinical experience.
