The School of Business and Economics awards two full-tuition scholarships per year to incoming freshmen. Students who plan to major in accounting, economics, finance, international political economy, management, or marketing are all eligible to apply.

Carthage’s prime location in the heart of the Milwaukee-Chicago business corridor, expert faculty and first-class learning center offers students unequaled opportunities as they learn business principles. Students choose a specific major in business while studying a common foundation in accounting, economics, functional business areas, and management.

To apply, students must submit an application for admission to Carthage and a separate Business Scholarship application by Dec. 3, 2023. The scholarship application includes a required one-page essay where students must explain why they are interested in a career related to business or economics.

Applicants will be notified in early January if they are invited to the School of Business and Economics Scholarship competition. The competition will take place remotely (online) on Friday, Feb. 17, 2024. Students will take a comprehensive examination, have candid discussions with Carthage business and economics students, and hear alumni share experiences and insights regarding their time as a Carthage business and economics student.
