Braden Kundert ?21 Braden Kundert ’21 Recent Carthage graduate Braden Kundert ’21, political science major, has been selected to clerk for Hon. John Kazen of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas in Laredo for the 2024-25 term.

Mr. Kundert is currently attending the University of Wisconsin Law School, where he is symposium editor of the Wisconsin Law Review. In summer 2023, he published his essay “Justice Today, Peace Tomorrow: Reinventing the Crime of Aggression In the Age of Putin” in the Lincoln Memorial University Law Review.

Mr. Kundert has distinguished himself in his time at law school in other ways, winning both the Matheson Memorial Award for Appellate Advocacy and the Wisconsin Lawyers Mutual Insurance Co. Award.

While at Carthage, he received the Outstanding Pre-Law Chapter President Award from the national pre-law fraternity, Phi Alpha Delta.
