Prof. Cheryl Petersen chosen in national competition

Professor Cheryl Petersen Cheryl L. Petersen, associate professor and assistant director of curriculum and assessment in the Nursing Department, has been chosen as one of 10 oncology Ph.D.s to attend the 2024 Oncology Nursing Foundation’s Oncology Nurse Scientist Research Intensive on Wednesday, April 24, in Washington, DC.

This honor includes attending a one-day research intensive conference in which her grant proposal will be reviewed and discussed, as well as one-on-one mentorship from a nationally renowned Ph.D. researcher in oncology science.

Her grant proposal is entitled “Development and Evaluation of the Trinity Application (App): Evidence-based Resources for Care of Mind, Body, and Spirit for Cancer Survivors.”
