Annual Juried Student Art Show Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony Thursday

Join the Art Department in celebrating Carthage students’ artwork at the opening reception for the 2024 Annual Juried Student Art Show from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 21, in the Visual Performing Arts Lab (VPAL) located next to the Art Gallery.

Credit: Sophia Salcido At 5:30 p.m., there will be an Awards Ceremony announcing Best in Show, Second Place, Third Place, and Honorable Mentions selected by this year’s juror, Lena Vigna, director of exhibition at the Racine Art Museum.

Additionally, the Art Department often selects purchase awards from the annual student show to augment the department’s collection of student artwork, which can be seen throughout the H. F. Johnson Center for Fine Arts’ first and second floor hallways. Come to the Awards Ceremony for all of these unveilings!

The 2024 Annual Juried Student Art Show runs from Wednesday, March 20 through Wednesday, March 27.
