In the latest installment of enriching educational experiences at Carthage, Professor Kelly Kruse orchestrated a remarkable opportunity for her Visual Communication class on March 19.

The class welcomed special guests Jason Miley, owner of Chick-fil-A in Pleasant Prairie, and Robbie Campbell, director of brand management for the store, who provided an in-depth exploration of the Chick-fil-A brand and its rigorous branding standards.

Highlighting aspects ranging from the meticulous presentation of food and packaging to the consistency of logos, fonts, and the tone of voice used in social media and in-store promotions, Mr. Miley and Mr. Campbell illuminated the critical role of brand management in business. The presentation offered students a profound understanding of how every detail contributes to the overall brand perception and success.

The session proved to be incredibly informative, engaging students in a deep dive into the nuances of branding. The highlight of the evening was the offer of marketing internships by the guests, opening doors for students to gain hands-on experience in the field.

Such guest appearances are invaluable, bridging academic learning with real-world practice and offering students a glimpse into potential career paths in communication and digital media. Carthage remains committed to providing unique opportunities to enhance their education and career readiness.
