This past week, engineering students met with the company’s owner, Jackson Wu, while he was in the US to visit the company’s Saukville facility from the company headquarters in Taiwan.

Students in sophomore-level courses, Engineering Project I and Engineering Project II, have spent this entire academic year focused on a design-build-test project with EES as their primary stakeholder. On April 2, students learned from Mr. Wu as he shared his life story, highlighting the challenges he overcame and the lessons he learned along the way. Students shared their engineering designs with Mr. Wu, engaging in an impromptu design review session in which the students showcased their innovative designs for a new muffler mounting bracket.

Next up for these engineering students: build and test!
