Alpha Omega excels in chapter competitions at the National Pi Sigma Epsilon Convention
Several members of Pi Sigma Epsilon (PSE) Alpha Omega competed in the 2024 National Pi Sigma Epsilon National Convention.
Members who competed in the chapter competitions included: Kylie Norman ’24, Nicole Vydra ’24, Carly McLaughlin ’24, Andrew Kirchhoff ’25, Brian Mork ’25, Austin Longmire ’25, Rebecca Mann ’25, Bailey Dobbratz ’26, and Abigail Vagnoni ’26.
PSE is the national business fraternity that encourages the professional development of young business professionals. The Carthage chapter is one of many chapters all around the nation. Once a year, all the chapters meet in a location to participate in different competitions as well as attend seminars to expand their knowledge of the professional world. This gives students the ability to network with other young business professionals across the nation as well as connect with prospective employers who are recruiting individuals involved in PSE.
The Alpha Omega chapter consists of 48 astounding Carthage students who are committed to creating a profound future for themselves. At the national convention, Alpha Omega competed against universities close to triple their size. They proudly represented Carthage by competing in four different categories.
Top Management Team
Alpha Omega was awarded second place for the Top Management Team. This award recognizes the chapter whose officer team has excelled in process and performance management while handling significant daily tasks, overcoming obstacles, and maintaining chapter motivation. Kylie Norman, Nicole Vydra, Carly McLaughlin, Abigail Vagnoni, and Rebecca Mann submitted the written entry based on the improvements the 2023 executive board implemented to the Alpha Omega chapter.
Case Study Competition
This competition gives a group of students 24 hours and restricted materials to develop a marketing strategy for a case study provided. Alpha Omega students Nicole Vydra, Andrew Kirchhoff, Bailey Dobbratz, and Abigail Vagnoni competed and advanced to the second round of the Case Study Competition.
Top New Member Development Process
Alpha Omega placed in the top six for the Top New Member Development Process. This competition recognizes chapters that have most effectively and wholesomely developed potential new members to be upstanding, lifelong members of Pi Sigma Epsilon. Kylie Norman, Carly McLaughlin, Abigail Vagnoni, Brian Mork, and Austin Longmire submitted the written entry based on the 2023 New Member Development Process.
Most Improved Chapter
Alpha Omega competed for the Most Improved Chapter. Kylie Norman, Carly McLaughlin, Nicole Vydra, and Rebecca Mann submitted the written entry based on the improvements made to the chapter during 2023.
