Every year, the Psi Chi Board of Directors recognizes notable chapters to be named as model chapters within the organization. This year, Carthage’s chapter of Psi Chi, the Psychology Honors Society, was recognized for their work in conjunction with the Carthage Psychology Club to create the Prosocial Project.

The Prosocial Project is a monthly stress relief project that also supports a good cause. For each event, over 50 Carthage students have come together to prepare meals for those suffering from food insecurity. After the meals are prepared, volunteers from Psi Chi and Psych Club transport the meals to different non-profit organizations in Kenosha that help to distribute the meals to the community and ensure the meals reach those who would benefit from them.

Psi Chi/Psych Club’s leadership encourages students who are interested to attend the Prosocial Project. Information about the next project is shared on Instagram (@carthagepsychscience) or via an email list. To be added to the Prosocial Project email list, reach out to Psi Chi president (bbastian@carthage.edu) or Psi Chi secretary (lsensenbrenner@carthage.edu).
