Majors: Psychology and Criminal Justice 

“My Carthage experience has been long and hard, but very rewarding. I have learned a multitude of things, such as how to use my voice against injustice as well as a host of things regarding professionalism. My two favorite professors, Professors Bradley Zopf and Katherine Hilson have shown me what it’s like for hard work to pay off and have helped me grow throughout my Carthage College experience both in getting more comfortable with using my voice for change as well as facing the most challenging tasks with a sense of ease.

“In my time at Carthage, I have also been heavily immersed in the athletics program. To me, Carthage Athletics has meant dedication. The track and field team has taught me to be a dedicated and hardworking individual in every way, but the lessons did not stop there. My coaches taught me to be satisfied but never complacent, to get better but never settle if more can be done. This is true not only through my sports but within my academics as well. My favorite quote below embodies my attitude toward college athletics. Winning the race and jumping far in practice when no one is watching prepare me for the competition ahead. Success comes from the hard work that others don’t often see.”

“My involvement with Enactus, the entrepreneurship club on campus, has led to amazing opportunities. Through Enactus, we complete several projects that benefit the local Kenosha community as well as internationally. I have also had the opportunity to compete in regional and national competitions, where we presented our entrepreneurial projects. Enactus has helped me develop my leadership skills as well as gain an entrepreneurial mindset.”
