Sports Journalism: European Football
Sports Journalism: European Football is a study tour in which students will learn the craft of sports journalism while attending and reporting on European football matches.
Students will attend and write about four to five football matches from the top European leagues, learn about the major political issues of the countries we visit and their relationship to football, visit club museums, tour stadiums, and meet working sports journalists — all in an effort develop the skills of a sportswriter, and to better understand the culture of football in Europe.
The destinations for the tour will be determined by the soccer schedule, published in the summer. Previous tours have visited three to four cities in countries including England, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain.
This study tour fulfills the WI general education requirement.
